Heroes of Waterloo OSC

Heroes of Waterloo OSC was founded in 2016. An officially recognised supporters club of Manchester City, they follow both the men’s and women’s teams, home and away. Their branch is based at the Heroes of Waterloo Restaurant & Bar in Ashton-under-Lyne.

The main communication platform used by the Heroes of Waterloo OSC committee to relay important information to its members relating to ticket applications, match-day travel, branch meetings and news, was Facebook. The committee identified that some members did not have, nor want, a Facebook account and were subsequently missing this information. To rectify this problem, and to improve the way information was relayed, the committee and its members took the collective decision to get a website created.

The majority of the information the branch publishes should only be seen by signed-up members of the branch. Therefore, the website needed to have a Members Only section where members of the branch are required to log in to access the information.
